So let me introduce Sarah Vandella
JJ: Hi Sarah. Thanks for being with us today. I know you're crazy busy with the AVN expo being around the corner.
So tell me how you got into the industry
Sarah: Mainly it was the curiosity I had in my early 20s after being shy my whole life. I finally grew self-confidence, and began to explore my sexuality. This included working in porn shops, dancing, working at legal brothels, and eventually shooting adult films!
JJ: I can imagine some of the guys faces now walking into a porn shop and see you working there lol.
JJ: what's the best thing about the industry?
Sarah: The easy answer would be all the sex, but that's just a perk! My favorite part is meeting my fans at conventions, especially the upcoming AVN Expo in Vegas!
JJ: The fans will be very happy to know that they're the best part of the job for you
JJ: What's the worst thing about the industry?
Sarah: The worst part would probably be that it requires a lot of maintenance. It also sucks that all the free content available is assisting in ripping off so many companies, which is really stolen content online.
JJ: Those sites stealing porn are the worst thing!! People should pay for their Porn because so much work goes into it.
What's the funniest thing to happen whilst you've been working?
Sarah: There have been a few funny bloopers like slipping, because of too much lube. I was shooting a Naughty America scene last year, and I was in this really cool position doing deep throat, but my stockings were so slippery that I almost did a somersault and fell into the camera backwards. It was really terrible; everyone had a good laugh, though!
JJ: Lube... The danger of the adult industry!! That should be the name of a book haha
What are you doing now work wise?
Sarah: I've been working for some wonderful companies like ArchAngel, Elegant Angel, Adam & Eve, Naughty America, and Evil Angel. I've got the AVNs that I'm looking forward to as well as the Xbiz awards!

What's the best thing about sex?
Sarah: Having it, then having it again, and again, and again, and again! Oh, and also pushing past your comfort zone to become a better performer. There's nothing better than growing from sexual experiences.

What's your favourite piece of work?
Sarah: My favorite film is definitely “Anal Warriors 2” from Archangel. It was my first threesome with anal and I loved it. It was so much fun. What's your favourite place to go on holiday?
Sarah: My favorite place to holiday is probably back east at my family's house. I’m more of an outdoorsy person then a city-girl, so I like to hike and spend time with family and friends.
JJ: Going back home to visit family is always a nice way to vacation.
Tell me one thing about yourself that I wouldn't guess by looking at you in everyday life:
Sarah: It would have to be that I'm a dirty whore who loves to suck and fuck especially on camera!

What's been your biggest achievement in life or work?
Sarah: My biggest achievement so far in my career is the fact that I’m still around and I have a fan base. Also, my contract with Zero Tolerance from 2010 to 2011 was such a huge goal of mine coming into porn at the young age of 23. I'm just so grateful that I’m still here, and even through the process of my name change and good times and bad times my fans have been so loyal and supportive. I'm just so pleased and grateful to be a part of something that I truly love so much
JJ: You are a big part of the industry and having you around can only be a good thing. And we all hope you stick around for a very long time
What's been the most challenging thing you've overcome?
Sarah: The most challenging thing I’ve overcome is probably my fear of anal sex, which was a huge thing on my mind in my twenties. Now, I'm so over it and I love that I can embrace anal sex and get pleasure from it.
JJ: That goes to show that facing your fears and overcoming them you can take a lot of pleasure from them.
What's been the best thing a fan has ever done for you?
Sarah: My fans are amazing! I'm just grateful to the ones who pay for their porn, join my website, support me on Dreamlover, and especially the ones who take the time and to vote for me in industry competitions and award shows!
JJ: You have a good bond with your fans. I see your Twitter account and there is a great relationship with them.
How many scenes do you think you've done in your career?
Sarah: I think I’ve done probably between 300 to 400 scenes. I have no intention of stopping anytime soon.
JJ: I've got a lot more of your stuff to go out and watch then woo hoo haha.
Who is your favourite person to work with in the industry?
Sarah: As a director, Mime Freak for Archangel is my favorite. He has a vision like no other. Every scene that I've shot for him in someway has been challenging. He pushes me to be a better performer and you can't say that about too many directors in the business. Also, I look up to and also love Mike Quasar. He's one of the greatest directors I've ever had the pleasure of working with and he was the reason I was contracted with Zero Tolerance. He believed me when I really had no name and no one really knew who I was
JJ: For someone to show faith in you, especially when you're starting out is a great thing. It would be a great motivation to shoot for the top.
Are you attending the AVNs and if so what are you looking forward to the most about it.
Sarah: I’m definitely attending the AVNs! I’ll be on the red carpet Saturday night, however fans can meet me at the expo. I'll be signing at the Adam and Eve booth from 12-4pm on Wednesday through Saturday. I’ll also be at the AEBN booth Wednesday and Friday night 6pm-8pm
JJ: I'm going to be paying you a visit at AVN as I'm there interviewing. I hope others reading this will go out and and come see you too!
What do you think you'll do when you leave the industry?
Sarah: To be honest, I consider myself a lifer. I've been doing this for almost nine years now and I don't see myself going anywhere except to the top. If that means starting my own company then it will happen in time. Be that as it may, I'm still enjoying freelancing and working for all kinds of companies including my website. I'm just grateful to be signed with an amazing feature dance agent, and fans can expect to see me on the road this year. They can also expect to see me shooting new releases for all the wonderful companies in our industry!
JJ: It's great to see you getting out on the road and giving more people chance to see you. And the new releases you'll be in will no doubt sell amazingly.
What advice would you give to anyone getting into the industry now?
Sarah: Pace yourself, be clear with your motives, be smart with your money and be careful with who you have sex with. Look at everyone's tests and if you're not sure, ask a question! Never let anyone make you feel stupid for asking a question because it’s your body, your choice!
JJ: That's great advice. I hope people listen to you and take the advice.
And finally Sarah, what's the weirdest rumour you've heard about yourself?
Sarah: The weirdest rumor that I’ve heard about myself would be that I quit or retired from the business. The truth is that I was just out of shape and just not living my full potential, but I never quit or retired.
